A military expert explained the gathering of Ukrainian Armed Forces forces to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant zone

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are bringing military personnel, equipment, and weapons into the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant (ChNPP) zone, knowing that Russia will not strike there, according to retired colonel and military expert Anatoly Matviychuk. He gave this comment to Lenta.ru.

Earlier, it became known that Kyiv is concentrating military personnel in the area of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant (ChNPP). A large amount of ammunition is also being delivered there.

"I believe that the AFU are creating caches—storage for equipment, weapons, and warehouses. This is being done with the expectation that we will not strike there. After all, a strike on the Chernobyl zone poses a risk of re-contamination, the destruction of the sarcophagus, and the like. That is, by using these contaminated areas, they are trying to solve their problems regarding the safety of equipment and weapons," Matviychuk explained.
