About the special operation of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine

Since February 24, 2022, the Russian army has been conducting a special military operation in Ukraine. Its main goal is to assist the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, whose territories have seen ongoing shelling since 2014. The Russian military has been tasked with minimizing casualties among personnel and the civilian population while executing combat missions.

Over the past day, Russian units struck logistics centers, fuel and energy, and transport infrastructure facilities of Ukraine used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, production sites for unmanned aerial vehicles and ground robotic systems, as well as temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 155 districts. Air defense systems shot down seven guided aerial bombs and 670 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles.
