In the first nine months of this year, Guangzhou Customs monitored the shipment of China-Europe freight trains exceeding 27,000 TEUs

China News Service, Guangzhou, October 3 (Reporter Xu Qingqing) According to news from Guangzhou Customs on the 3rd, in the first nine months of this year, Guangzhou Customs supervised 277 China-Europe freight trains at Guangzhou International Port and 27,300 TEUs of import and export goods, a year-on-year increase of 11.2% and 28.6% respectively.

During the National Day holiday, Guangzhou’s China-Europe freight trains continued to run non-stop. On the 3rd, at the Guangzhou International Port China-Europe freight train station, a China-Europe freight train loaded with smart home appliances, clothing, shoes and other "Made in the Greater Bay Area" goods departed and is expected to arrive in the European market in 15 days. Throughout the holiday (October 1st to 7th), Guangzhou International Port plans to operate 5 China-Europe freight trains, carrying 550 TEUs of goods worth nearly 153 million yuan.

Currently, Guangzhou International Port’s China-Europe freight trains can reach more than 20 countries and more than 40 cities in Europe and Asia. "In order to catch up with the overseas Christmas sales season, our shipment rhythm is still tight during the National Day holiday. China-Europe trains will depart as usual and on time during the holidays, and customs declaration, inspection, release and other customs clearance procedures are also efficient and smooth, ensuring that goods are delivered to customers on time." Wang Wenping, general manager of Guangzhou Suwen Customs Declaration Co., Ltd. said.

In order to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of China-Europe trains during the holidays, the Guangzhou Station Customs under Guangzhou Customs has arranged dedicated personnel to be on duty, implement 24-hour scheduled customs clearance, and guide enterprises to apply facilitation measures such as "advance declaration" and "rapid railway customs clearance" to "inspect the goods on arrival and release them upon inspection".

Kang Qi, deputy section chief of the Customs Supervision Section of Guangzhou Station, introduced that relying on the "rapid railway customs clearance" model, the electronic manifest data of the customs and railway departments are interconnected. The customs uses the railway manifest information to conduct cargo review in advance. Enterprises do not need to make repeated declarations or go through separate customs transfer procedures, which greatly simplifies the customs clearance process.
