Official statements to enhance Lebanese exports and trade cooperation with Syria and Saudi Arabia

Rasamny explained that his ministry is working to control the crossings and develop Lebanese exports, noting that Lebanon meets periodically with the Syrian side to develop its economy and remove obstacles to trade exchange.

He stressed that work is underway to open the Al-Aboudi crossing, which will contribute to alleviating congestion at the Al-Masnaa crossing, with a focus on alternative routes established in the region to facilitate the movement of goods and enhance trade exchange.

Rasamny admitted that Lebanon's capabilities are limited, stressing the country's need for investments from friendly countries, especially from Saudi Arabia, to enhance its economic capabilities and develop its infrastructure, stressing that Lebanon is aware of what happened in the past and how it lost confidence with the Kingdom, but today it seeks to restore this confidence through a commitment to transparency and developing the business environment, in a way that serves common interests and returns Lebanon to its natural position as a reliable economic partner in the region.

Regarding cooperation with Syria, Rasamny explained that periodic meetings are held with the Syrian side to develop the economy of the two countries, announcing work on opening the Al-Aboudi crossing, which will contribute to alleviating congestion at the Masnaa crossing.

He added that work is underway to reduce the distance between Lebanon and Syria, which will contribute to reducing cross-border smuggling operations.
