据杨斌修介绍,距离丹桂村不足2公里的回辉村有一座清真寺,当年,寺里比较宽敞,红军炊事班便在此生火做饭。有一名红军小战士误把“打土豪”没收来的非清真食品带进清真寺。朱德总司令得知后,立即放下手头工作,亲自带着那名小战士来到清真寺赔礼道歉,并讲解党的民族政策。

红军离开前,10多名青年组成“回民班”,由毕发斗担任班长,跟着部队踏上了长征路。一路上浴血奋战,最终只有毕发斗一人幸存返乡。此后的岁月里,他总在纪念馆和学校义务讲述红军故事,希望把长征的火种播撒在后人心里。
九十余载过去,这段峥嵘岁月始终滋养着柯渡儿女。这些年,柯渡镇深挖红色资源,打造出以红军长征柯渡纪念馆、丹桂村中央红军总部驻地旧址等为核心的红色地标群,推出重走长征路、红色故事宣讲等沉浸式研学项目。2025年,红军长征柯渡纪念馆全年接待游客超30万人次,实现旅游综合收入超过1200万元。
