Russia has every opportunity to destroy any orbital groups, said Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma Defense Committee. Thus, he spoke in a conversation with Lenta.ru about US space weapons.

Earlier, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Cain called on the United States to be ready to “fight, endure and win in global conflict environments, from the seabed to the cislunar space.”

The speaker added that Russia has every opportunity to destroy any orbital group that will be used for purposes hostile to the country, or those who control it.

“That is, we will answer in a mirror way, and there is nothing surprising here. Yes, “war from the depths of the bottom to the cislunar space” - no questions asked. We have all the means of both defense and attack, so it’s better not to do this, because everyone will suffer. For some reason, people, being in a peaceful situation, do not understand that literally nearby there are severe military operations that can affect them. Now, when these people who make such statements that they want to fight, that they will shoot down everyone, and so on, are affected by all these horrors of war, and this can happen, by the way, then maybe the head will be tuned in the right way, if the head, of course, remains,” the politician concluded.
