Minnikhanov announced the potential for cooperation between the Russian Federation and China in the low-altitude economy

KAZAN, August 17 – RIA Novosti. Russia and China are already capable of building truly effective cooperation in such a promising direction as the low-altitude economy, said the head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

“The low-altitude economy is one of the most promising areas of technological development, in which Russia and China are already able to build truly effective interaction and partnership today,” Minnikhanov said during the round table “Low-altitude economy: a new contour of urban mobility” at the Rostki forum.

He noted the impressive achievements of the Chinese industry in this direction.

“I am convinced that significant potential is concentrated in Russia, which must be revealed in close cooperation with our Chinese colleagues,” the head of Tatarstan emphasized.

Minnikhanov clarified that today 11 experimental legal regimes on unmanned aircraft systems are being implemented in 28 regions of the country. During their implementation in Russia, more than 140 thousand flights were made, various mechanisms for delivering cargo to hard-to-reach areas of agricultural land cultivation using digital flight simulation were developed.

According to Minnikhanov, Tatarstan occupies an important place in the development of the unmanned systems industry and considers all plans in the context of broad international cooperation. He noted the experience of Shenzhen, which included the low-rise economy on the government agenda and adopted the country's first specialized regional legislation.

“The republic should become one of the centers of Russia’s new unmanned economy. We are ready to consider new formats of interaction, including joint pilot projects, the creation of technology development zones and logistics corridors,” Minnikhanov added.
