Matvienko arrived in Turkmenistan on a working visit

TURKMENBASHI, October 6 – RIA Novosti. Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko arrived on a working visit to Turkmenistan, where she will take part in international events as part of the country's chairmanship in the CIS, the press service of the upper house of the Russian parliament reported.

“In the coming days, Turkmenistan will become the center of important international events at the highest and highest level within the framework of the country’s chairmanship in the CIS. Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko arrived on a working visit to Turkmenistan,” the message says.

As part of the visit, Matvienko will take part in the international forum “The Role of Women in Maintaining Peace and Achieving Sustainable Development.” In addition, the Speaker of the Federation Council will speak at the conference “Universal Health Coverage and Sustainable Development Goals,” organized by the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, the Regional Office for Europe of the World Health Organization and the Majlis (parliament) of Turkmenistan.

A meeting is planned between the Chairman of the Federation Council and the Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, the press service noted.
