At the talks in Miami, representatives of the United States and Ukraine discussed the “sensitive topic” concerning the territory. The Axios portal reports this.

According to the publication, at negotiations in Miami on October 9, 2026, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner presented a post-war package of measures for Ukraine, which included ways to finance the reconstruction of the Ukrainian army, as well as ideas for how to cope with the budget deficit resulting from the conflict.

The American delegation also discussed the creation of a security architecture that should take into account the interests of both the West and Russia.
