[Weather] Cloudy and rainy everywhere on Sunday… Strong rain and wind in Jeju Island

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Jeong Ji-su = On Sunday, the 1st, the country will be mostly cloudy and rain will fall in many parts of the country.

In the metropolitan area, there will be many places where it starts raining in the morning and then shows a lull in the afternoon, while in the southern region and Jeju Island, the rain will start in the afternoon and continue until dawn the next day.

In the high mountains of Gangwon (elevation above 1,200m), rain or snow will fall from the morning.

In the morning, raindrops less than 0.1 mm may fall in Jeonbuk and Gyeongbuk areas.

The expected precipitation for the first two days is around 5 mm in southern Gyeonggi and Gangwon-do, 5-10 mm in Daejeon, Sejong, South Chungcheong, and North Chungcheong Province, 5-40 mm in Gwangju, Jeonnam, Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, 5-20 mm in Jeonbuk, Daegu, and Gyeongbuk, and 10-60 mm in Jeju Island.

On the 5th island of the West Sea, 5 to 10 mm of rain will fall throughout the day.

Late at night on Jeju Island, there will be strong rain of around 20 mm per hour along with gusty winds, so be careful about safety accidents.

The lowest morning temperature is forecast to be 3 to 10 degrees, and the highest daytime temperature is forecast to be 11 to 18 degrees.

The concentration of fine dust is likely to be at a ‘good’ level across the country.

The sea waves will be 0.5 to 2.0 m in the East Sea, 0.5 to 1.5 m in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 1.0 m in the South Sea.

The wave height of the deep inner sea (the sea within about 200 km of the coastline) is expected to be 1.0 to 2.5 m in the East Sea and 0.5 to 2.5 m in the West and South Seas.
