He requires all bureaus and offices to implement typhoon prevention preparations, strengthen inspections of flood-prone areas, mountainous roads and construction sites, and carefully evaluate the arrangements for large-scale events to ensure the safety of citizens. Even if the typhoon does not make landfall directly, it may still bring rainfall to Taoyuan. Zhang Shanzheng pointed out that the Water Supply Bureau has completed the trial operation of water pumping equipment and maintenance of water gates, and has pre-arranged a total of 9 water pumps in 8 flood-prone locations. At the same time, it has completed the pre-release of water in 8 flood detention ponds to reserve flood storage space. The city government has also prepared about 25,000 sand bags, which will be available for collection at all district offices starting from 10 a.m. today for citizens in need to prepare for flood prevention.
