Xiao A posted a response to the question: My female identity does not require other people’s approval

[Entertainment Channel/Comprehensive Report] Internet celebrity "Little A Hot" underwent gender reassignment surgery in 2020 and transformed from a boy into a real woman. She also participated in a beauty pageant to win glory for Taiwan. This morning (13th), she made a rare post on Facebook and firmly stated: "My life is defined by myself, and my female identity does not need the approval of any strangers."

Little A Lai said that in the past few days, people have been sending her comments under the news, and she found that many people attacked her in the same way: "She used to be a man," "She is a shemale," "She can't have children, what kind of woman is she?", "She is a transgender and can only be played in the back door."

In this regard, Little A reiterated that she has never concealed her life. "My original gender, my past, and the path I have traveled are all part of me. You keep repeating 'She used to be a man' and you will not let me lose any part of who I am now." And she wanted to ask, when did a woman's value start to be determined by "whether she can have children?"

Xiao A Lai said that if you can't have children, you are not a woman. What about infertile women? What about women who are experiencing menopause? What about women who cannot get pregnant due to physical factors? What about women who choose not to have children for the rest of their lives? She said: "Aren't they all women? A woman is not a reproductive tool; a woman does not need to get pregnant and give birth to children in order to prove whether she is a woman or not."

As for her inability to get pregnant, Little A believes that this is a biological fact, but it is never a shame for her, and it is not a weapon used by anyone to belittle me. She emphasizes that her life is different from that of many women, but being different does not mean that she is inferior. "Being unable to get pregnant does not mean that I am missing anything. What should be examined is not my body, but why today, some people still think that a person's original gender, or even the ability to have children, can be used to determine whether she deserves to be treated as a woman."
