Mourinho praises Messi after his international retirement and declares that he will watch some American League matches to enjoy it

The current Portuguese coach of Real Madrid, Jose Mourinho, praised former FC Barcelona and current Inter Miami star Lionel Messi after the latter announced his international retirement, noting that he will watch some American League matches to enjoy Messi on the field as much as possible even though he "does not like this league very much."

Mourinho said about Messi in the press conference that preceded his team’s match against Real Betis: “There are no words to describe his level as a player. Even in this World Cup, which he is playing at the age of eight or thirty-nine, we have all seen what he is capable of.”

He continued: "He is one of those players that we will all miss. I will now have to watch some Major League Soccer (MLS) matches. Although I do not like this league very much, I will watch some matches to get the most out of it."

Messi announced his retirement from playing for the Argentine national team on Monday, after a career full of achievements that lasted for nearly 21 years.
