“We declare our full and immediate readiness to provide the army with fighters to restore the rights of the Yemeni people, expel the occupiers and end the blockade of our country,” the Houthi militia said in a statement broadcast on Al Masirah TV.

The Houthis claim that the well-trained and organized militia forces number in the hundreds of thousands.

“Training and preparation continue, and in the near future they will be even more active at all levels,” the statement said.
