Shenzhen holds Pinbao Island Wendan Pomelo celebration Mid-Autumn Festival event to promote cross-strait exchanges and cooperation

Peng Qing'en, deputy director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, attended the event and delivered a speech. He said that the two sides of the Taiwan Strait are geographically close, compatriots are close to each other, have common cultural traditions and similar living habits. More than ten stalls selling Wendan pomelo were set up at the event, attracting people from both sides of the Taiwan Strait to taste it. Xu Fuxian, president of the Shenzhen Taiwanese Business Association, said that a small grapefruit is also the epitome of cross-strait economic and trade exchanges and a witness to the people's hearts on both sides. Chen Yuxuan, a young man from Shenzhen who tasted Wendan pomelo for the first time, said that Wendan pomelo is sweeter than Guangdong's Shatian pomelo, and he planned to buy some to eat during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

It is reported that since the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was authorized to release ten policies and measures to promote cross-Strait exchanges and cooperation on April 12, relevant parties on both sides of the Taiwan Strait have worked together to promote the implementation of policies on the basis of adhering to the "1992 Consensus" and opposing the politics of "Taiwan independence", helping more farmers and fishermen on the island to open up the mainland market, and achieved positive results. Many batches of Taiwanese pomelo packaging plants, orchards and food companies have been registered in the mainland. Customs clearance efficiency has been continuously improved, and logistics and transportation have become more convenient.
