Schalke loses to Augsburg in its return to the Bundesliga, Manchester United wins over Ipswich, and Real Madrid opens the season with a big win.

The Schalke team, returning to the German Football League, began its campaign in the current season of the Bundesliga with a 0-3 loss outside its stadium against its host Augsburg on Sunday in the first round.

Coach Jose Mourinho's team leads the standings with nine points from three matches, two points ahead of Atletico Madrid and Alaves, while fourth-place Barcelona has six points gained in two matches, before its confrontation with Rayo Vallecano on Monday.
