A butcher shop employee died this Saturday (29) while unloading a truck that was parked, in Samambaia, in the Federal District. He was hit by a bus that was passing along the road.

According to the Military Police (PMDF), the victim was unloading materials in the back of the truck, which had one of the doors open, when the bus collided against the vehicle's door. The accident occurred around 2:30 p.m.

The West Carnes butcher shop published a note of condolence on social media for the employee identified as Matheus Nunes Oliveira.

"In this moment of pain, West Carnes sympathizes with its family, friends and colleagues, making itself available and offering the necessary support to the family during this delicate moment and in the procedures arising from their departure," said the company.

In a statement, the company Urbi, responsible for the bus, regretted what happened and made itself available. "The bus was on a regular trip when, while passing through the location, it came into contact with one of the truck's doors, which was open and projected onto the road", says the note.

"Urbi Mobilidade deeply regrets the fatality, expresses solidarity and condolences to the family members and remains at the disposal of the competent authorities to contribute to the ongoing investigations."

Still according to Urbi, help was immediately called and resuscitation attempts were made. According to firefighters, however, the victim did not survive.

According to preliminary information, the bus was on a regular trip when, while passing through the location, there was contact with one of the truck's doors, which was open and projected onto the road. At the time of the incident, an employee carrying out unloading activities was hit. Help was immediately called and resuscitation attempts were made.
