AA General Manager Karagöz spoke about artificial intelligence and media at TEKNOFEST

Aviation, Space and Technology Festival (TEKNOFEST), of which AA is the "Global Communication Partner" and carried out by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the T3 Foundation, continues with its last day events at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport.

AA General Manager Karagöz participated in the conversation titled "Accumulation and Transfer of Daily Information, the Story of Getting News" within the scope of the "KÜRE Talks" event organized by the Culture and Civilization (KÜME) Foundation.

In his speech here, Karagöz gave information about the use of artificial intelligence in journalism and media.

Emphasizing that news has been a part of life since ancient times, Karagöz stated that various possibilities, from cave paintings to smoke, from fast runners to horse-riding message carriers, have been used for this purpose.

Touching on the history and process of journalism, Karagöz said that the telegraph was followed by radio waves, television, telephone and the internet, and finally came artificial intelligence.

Karagöz underlined that what is important in media and journalism in the artificial intelligence era is reliability, and stated that with artificial intelligence, we have entered a period where the speed of data, information and news is not important.

“AA has presented evidence of millions of genocides in Gaza to the whole world”

Stating that AA's 107th anniversary will be celebrated in the coming months, Karagöz said, "Not much has changed since then. AA's founding philosophy includes a search for truth and a fight against imperialism. We continue to pursue the search for truth at a global level. We have become the news agency that announced the genocide in Gaza to the world in the strongest, most effective way." he said.

AA's TEKNOFEST partnership

Stating that Anadolu Agency's being a stakeholder of TEKNOFEST is in line with its founding mission, Karagöz noted that the inspiration and motivation of TEKNOFEST youth is high, and that no one can stand in the way of the wind and generation of TEKNOFEST.

Guide from AA on artificial intelligence ethical codes

Answering the questions after his speech, Karagöz said about AA's artificial intelligence usage processes: "We use artificial intelligence effectively. As the agency, we are preparing a guide on artificial intelligence ethical codes." he said.

Regarding excessive media consumption, General Manager Karagöz said, "I think this trend will fade in a short time. People will not need or want to consume more information and content. After 5 years, you will consume less social media than today. After 10 years, you will consume less video content than today. This is inevitably a self-protective behavior of people." he said.
