US President Trump: We taught Iran a harsh lesson

US President Donald Trump argued that the blockade against Iran was very effective and said, "(Iran) was punished very severely. We taught them a really harsh lesson." he said.

US President Trump evaluated the Iranian agenda at the event he held in the garden of the White House, where he explained how the American steel industry was restructured after the September 11 attacks.

In his speech, Trump commemorated those who lost their lives in the September 11 attacks and emphasized that they made every effort to prevent such attacks from occurring again, and stated that Iran could never have a nuclear weapon.

The US President said, "We are fighting right now because there is a country that wants to obtain nuclear weapons. They were very close to this, but now they have no chance of obtaining it. (Iran) will never have nuclear weapons." made his assessment.

Arguing that the naval blockade against Iran was "very successful", Trump said, "(Iran) was punished very severely. We taught them a really harsh lesson." he said.

Noting that the blockade imposed by the US navy made tanker passages in the Strait of Hormuz significantly possible, Trump said, "The blockade was so strong and effective that no one thought it could work this well." he commented.

After his speech, Trump presented medals to the families of some of the people who lost their lives in the September 11 attacks.
