China News Service, Sanming, September 14 (Lei Chaoliang) The "Sanming·Enter the World" Catastrophe Comprehensive Rescue Technology Exchange Competition opened in Sanming, Fujian on the 14th. More than 40 emergency rescue teams from 15 provinces and cities including Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong, as well as the United States, Poland, Egypt, Oman and other countries and regions participated in the competition.
This exchange competition is one of the sub-activities of the 18th Strait Forum·Cross-Strait Emergency Fire Integrated Development Forum. It is also an important measure for Sanming City to proactively respond to the challenges of multiple disaster superposition risks and test the combat effectiveness of the rescue team based on the reality of frequent extreme compound disasters.
Currently, extreme weather occurs frequently around the world, making on-site handling of complex disasters more difficult. This exchange competition focused on this feature, simulating disaster scenarios such as dam burst torrents, super typhoon invasion, large-scale mudslides, landslides, etc., and for the first time focused on displaying cutting-edge rescue technologies such as powered boat bridges, satellite remote sensing, TF150 composite wing long-endurance drones, intelligent robot dogs, and remote demolition robots.
At the drill site, satellite remote sensing technology enables comparative analysis and judgment before and after disasters, providing data support for command decisions; the TF150 composite-wing long-endurance UAV is equipped with airborne communication satellites and public network portable base stations to solve the communication guarantee of "circuit, power, and communication interruption" at the disaster site difficult problems; the powered boat bridge takes advantage of the advantages of the water mobile platform to realize large-scale transfer of trapped people and the delivery of heavy rescue equipment; intelligent equipment such as search and rescue robot dogs and remote demolition robots make up for the shortcomings of human search and rescue in scenarios such as building collapse, narrow ruins, and high-risk leakage areas.
According to reports, the exercise established a three-dimensional "sky-air-ground-water" rescue system, promoted the in-depth integration of high-tech applications and actual combat operations, and comprehensively tested the actual combat effectiveness of new rescue technologies in complex disaster scenarios.
Dr. Dick Chamra, director of the World Health Organization's African Region Emergency Preparedness Program, who was invited to observe the event, said that extreme weather is currently common in the world, and it is necessary to rely on high-tech equipment and actual combat scenarios to hone professional rescue capabilities. This exercise focused on real disaster chains and established a technical exchange platform for disaster risk rescue, which is of great practical significance.
Liu Ming, chief meteorological expert of the China Meteorological Administration, said that major disasters are often accompanied by complex meteorological conditions. Strengthening the linkage between meteorological monitoring and early warning and emergency rescue operations can provide important technical support for disaster analysis, power projection, and emergency rescue, and is of great significance to improving the ability to respond to catastrophes.
In the meantime, the organizing committee will also simultaneously hold cross-strait exchange seminars on disaster prevention, reduction, and relief, and conduct technical discussions and skills challenges around the application of advanced rescue technologies such as earthquakes, water bodies, ropes, and search and rescue dogs. Authoritative experts in the fields of emergency response, water conservancy, transportation, natural resources and other fields, as well as representatives from the China Disaster Prevention Association, China Emergency Management Association, and China Fire Protection Association, will share advanced rescue experience and technical achievements.
