Statements by Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek about Gülistan Doku and Kaşif Kozinoğlu

Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek met with courthouse reporters in Istanbul.

NTV reporter Dilek Yaman Demir, who was present at the meeting, conveyed Minister Gürlek's statements about the latest investigations and current developments.

Regarding Gülistan Doku, who was never heard from again after disappearing in Tunceli in 2020, Minister of Justice Gürlek said, "Gulistan may have been eliminated with a chemical substance." made the statement.

Journalists asked Minister Gürlek about the latest status of the investigation launched into the death of former MİT officer Kaşif Kozinoğlu, who died in prison in 2011.

Minister Gürlek said that all possibilities, including murder, were evaluated in Kozinoğlu's death.

Reminding that a grave conquest will be carried out on Kozinoğlu's grave, Gürlek said, "DNA samples will be taken, and if there is any poisoning or other findings in the samples taken, a report will be made and submitted to the investigation file." he said.
