Teenager dies five days after accident that killed her boyfriend in Vilhena, RO

A man died and a woman was seriously injured after a car overturned in the rural area of ​​Vilhena (RO), on Sunday (1st). The Fire Department was called and rescued the victims.

According to information provided by firefighters, four people were in the vehicle at the time of the accident. When teams arrived at the scene, only the driver and the passenger in the front seat remained in the car, trapped in the wreckage. The other two occupants, who were in the back seat, were able to escape and were taken to the hospital by people passing through the area.

To remove the woman from the vehicle, firefighters needed to use hydraulic equipment and remove the car doors. After extrication, she was immobilized and transported to the Vilhena Regional Hospital, where she was under the care of the medical team.

According to the report of a firefighter who participated in the incident, the vehicle lost control when it left the road and fell into a large ditch used to collect rainwater in farm areas. With the impact, the car overturned and ended up with its wheels in the air, before returning to its normal position.

Janaína was the girlfriend of the young man who was driving the car. He was also trapped in the wreckage and died at the scene of the accident.
