The leadership of American AI development companies promised to strengthen internal controls after a meeting with Trump

The management of American artificial intelligence development companies, after a meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House, promised to strengthen internal control measures over AI models, according to a document signed at the end of the event.

The agreement was signed by Trump, as well as the heads of Google, Anthropic, OpenAI, XAI and Meta*.

“Implement robust internal controls to monitor the capabilities and performance of models as they are trained and deployed,” the document says.

It is clarified that control mechanisms should be implemented in the areas of biological and cyber security, to protect against chemical threats, as well as to prevent hacking of technical systems or access to them by artificial intelligence models.

In addition, the companies promised to engage independent external auditors to assess the effectiveness of control systems.

“Participating companies will meet regularly to develop standards and best practices aimed at improving the security of their systems,” the document states.

It is noted that the measures can subsequently be enshrined at the legislative level.
