The University of Liège in Belgium joins hands with Xinhuawei School of Management to promote AI digital transformation and higher education

The University of Liège in Belgium and the Sunway School of Management in Hong Kong are leading the world's Taiwanese businessmen to embrace the new wave of AI. This year's World Federation of Taiwan Chamber of Commerce events are being held in Kaohsiung. The institute also chose to hold the 30th International Academic Seminar at the Lam Palace Hotel in Kaohsiung. The theme of the event is "Opportunities and Strategic Planning for Enterprises under the AI ​​Wave."

The seminar mainly discussed how artificial intelligence can change work, industrial chains and the way enterprises compete. Two special speeches focused on business practices. With the World Federation of Taiwan Chambers of Commerce events held in Kaohsiung from September 21st to 24th, it attracted more than a thousand Taiwanese entrepreneurs from six continents around the world.

Zheng Haoren, vice chairman of the Bestway Group and an EDBA doctoral student at the University of Liège, analyzed the impact of AI on talent and industrial division of labor with the topic "Re-pricing of factors in the era of artificial intelligence, from job replacement to economic chain reorganization".

Professor Li Zhiwei used the topic "From Automation to Intelligence: How AI Reshapes Enterprise Dynamic Capabilities and Competitive Advantages" to discuss how enterprises can transform technology introduction into long-term competitiveness.

Scholars and interlocutors from the business community participated in the exchange, allowing the experiences and perspectives of different industries to dialogue with each other. The organizer specially arranged for 8 doctoral students to publish journal papers, which were reviewed by scholars and industry professionals. Research and practice were examined through mutual review, so that real problems in business operations became the starting point for research, and then feasible management ideas were found from the research results.

The Alumni Alliance meeting will also discuss the preparations for the Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Alumni Association, global alumni academic sharing and business exchanges, and connect the knowledge and connections of Taiwanese businessmen in different regions.

Hong Kong Sunway School of Management was founded by Dr. Lin Yuxian. Since 1990, it has introduced European and American management courses and promoted Chinese advanced management education. In response to the needs of Chinese business owners and professional managers to connect with international knowledge, the school cooperated with the HEC School of Management of the University of Liège.
