[Reporter Hong Youfang/Hsinchu Report] The stock price of TSMC (2330), the leading wafer foundry manufacturer, opened at 2,360 yuan today, and shot up to 2,365 yuan, up 55 yuan, or 2.38%, and its market value also climbed to 61.33 trillion yuan.

The United States and Iran reached an agreement to end the war, and U.S. stocks closed higher last Friday. TSMC's ADR rose 0.68% to close at $423.93, driving TSMC's stock price to continue rising today.

TSMC's operating fundamentals continue to be promising. Revenue in May was 416.975 billion yuan, a monthly increase of 1.5% and an annual increase of 30.1%, setting a record high in single-month revenue. The cumulative revenue in the first five months reached 1.96 trillion yuan, approaching the 2 trillion yuan mark, an annual increase of 30%, and also a new high for the same period.

Benefiting from the continued strong momentum of advanced processes and advanced packaging driven by demand for high-performance computing (HPC) and AI, TSMC is expected to hit a record high in single-quarter revenue in the second quarter, and is expected to post quarterly gains throughout the year.
