China News Service, Boao, August 18th. From August 11th to 16th, the 19th Health Industry Ecology Conference (Xipu Conference) was held in Boao, Hainan. With the annual theme of "Enter the AI Era - Paradigm Revolution and Path Selection in the Health Industry", this conference focuses on the in-depth application of AI (artificial intelligence) technology in scientific research, manufacturing, medical care and other dimensions, aiming to reconstruct a new growth path for the health industry.
In his keynote report, Wu Han, chairman of the Xipu Conference, said that the health industry has bid farewell to experience-driven linear growth and has entered a new cycle of exponential evolution endogenous to algorithms. The current change is the reconstruction of the underlying paradigm rather than local optimization.
In response to the pain point of lack of methods and systems for the implementation of AI in the industry, the conference released a four-dimensional evolutionary base transformation framework, which provides a systematic path for enterprise intelligent upgrading from the four dimensions of data, scenarios, organization, and compliance, and promotes AI from concept to industrial empowerment.
During the conference, the exhibition hall gathered Chinese and foreign companies such as Guangzhou Pharmaceutical, Hengrui, CSPC Pharmaceuticals, Pien Tze Huang, Corfu Medical, Helion, etc. to showcase cutting-edge technologies, blockbuster new products and digital solutions.
The "2026 XIP Gold Award Ceremony" was also held during the conference, and Shexiang Baoxin Pills and others won the gold medal in the "2026 Healthy China·Brand List". According to reports, Shexiang Baoxin Pills is a modern Chinese patent medicine with independent intellectual property rights in China. It is composed of 7 medicinal materials including artificial musk, ginseng extract, artificial bezoar, cinnamon, styrax, toad venom and borneol. The formula is derived from the Suhexiang Pills contained in the "Taiping Huimin Heji Bureau Prescription" of the Song Dynasty. It has pharmacological activities in protecting myocardial ischemia, improving vascular endothelial function and alleviating microcirculatory disorders.
Since the 1980s, Professor Dai Ruihong’s team from Huashan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University has carried out industry-university-research cooperation with Shanghai Chi-Delta Pharmaceuticals to promote the research, development and industrialization of modern formulations of this product. In addition, a ten-year MUST study led by Ge Junbo, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and an expert from Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, and Professor Fan Weihu from Huashan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, was published in the "Chinese Medical Journal (English Edition)" in 2021. The results showed that Shexiang Baoxin Pills could reduce the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events in patients with stable coronary heart disease by 26.9%.
The R&D team stated that it will continue to adhere to evidence-based medicine as the starting point, promote the in-depth integration of modernization and internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine, and provide a practical path for the high-quality development of traditional Chinese medicine.
It is worth mentioning that multiple reports were released at the meeting. Among them, the "2026 China Quality Sleep White Paper" relies on large-scale surveys, the diagnosis and treatment experience of more than a hundred clinical experts, and practical data from the entire industry chain to systematically review the current status of domestic national sleep health and clarify a new consensus on the development of the industry of "same prevention and treatment" of sleep disorders and chronic diseases.
Another report clarifies the pattern of industrial contraction and growth, providing navigation for the entire industry through the cycle. There is also a special report on retail formats that proposes implementation paths for AI digital transformation, providing a reference for retail companies to iteratively upgrade.
