AK Party Deputy Chairman Hüseyin Yayman Inspected the Highway Tunnel in Hatay

AK Party Deputy Chairman Hüseyin inspected the 8 thousand 500 meters long and 17 meters wide tunnel under construction in Belen district within the scope of the highway project.

Yayman met with Highways 5th Regional Director İlhan Aytekin and received information about the work.

In his statement to journalists after the investigation, Yayman said that the wounds of the earthquakes on February 6, 2023 in Hatay are being healed more and more each day.

Expressing that the İskenderun-Topboğazı Motorway Project has strategic importance for Türkiye and the Middle East, Yayman emphasized that it will make a significant contribution to the transportation infrastructure of the region.

Yayman stated that they will bring the plain and the sea together thanks to the project and said, "It is one of the most efficient projects of Türkiye. Hopefully, it is one of the largest public investments of Türkiye that will pay for itself in 8 years." he said.

"A MAJOR PROJECT BRINGING ALEPPO, DAMASCUS AND ANTAKYA TOGETHER WITH THE SEA"

Thanking President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for the project, Yayman said:

"It is the biggest project not only of our region but of the Middle East, and in a sense, it is a big project that brings Aleppo, Damascus and Antakya together with the sea. When a citizen of Antakya leaves, he will come to the Iskenderun beach in about 25 minutes. He will be able to eat ice cream, drink his coffee, breathe the sea air on that beautiful beach and return again. We are actually removing the Berlin Wall in Hatay."

Yayman stated that the work continues without slowing down and said, "This is our and Hatay's crazy project. Hopefully, we will complete this crazy project at the end of 2028, in 2029. We will accomplish a job that was unimaginable for us. We are very happy and joyful because this was a job that was talked about for years but could not be done. It was a dream, it came true. In a sense, it has proven the saying that we always say, 'If it is done, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will do it, if it is done, the AK Party will do it'." he said.

Saying that the People's Alliance is ready for the future, Yayman said:

"When we talked about the dream of the 2023 project in 2002, no one believed, but now we are talking about the 2053 project. As the People's Alliance, under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and with MHP leader Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, we are always on the field in Hatay. Our projects and work in the field for the Turkey Century meetings continue. We always say this, we are the ones who do politics on the field, not at the table, and deal with the problems of our city. "We are an alliance that cares."
