AK Party Deputy Chairman Ömer İleri attended his party's Ankara Provincial Advisory Council Meeting.
Speaking here, İleri congratulated the mayors and municipal council members who joined the AK Party family and said that the AK Party cadres, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, have solved the chronic problems that no political cadre has been able to undertake or spend energy on solving until now.
Saying that those who try to instrumentalize the funding issue are trying to smear the AK Party while the progress Türkiye has made in the last 25 years is obvious, İleri said, "Our President's messages regarding the funding issue have been extremely clear from the first day. Our President has taken administrative measures to manage this process." he said.
Stating that President Erdoğan has taken all measures to identify the actors who have a share and responsibility in these developments and to hold them accountable, İleri said, "He emphasized that any hand that reaches out to the rights of the nation will be broken. While all this was happening, while the judicial processes were continuing and administrative measures were being taken, our party worked with all its mechanisms and knew how to keep its distance from those who made mistakes, as it always does." he said.
Forward emphasized that while there are such clear messages, such effective work and measures are being taken, some people are trying to incriminate the AK Party through these developments.
Drawing attention to the allegations of New Party Izmir Deputy Ümit Özlale regarding the fund investigation, Ömer İleri said:
"When I was speaking at the podium, I said, 'I'm asking again.' he said. We want to ask here again and again. You made a slander. Your slander turned out to be a lie. If you made this slander consciously, I'm sorry, you are a liar. If you have fallen victim to a mistake here, if you have been the instrument of slander, and you still do not come out and apologize for some situations in your own team or assembly, then again, no one should forgive you, you will not be ashamed. You are either a liar or you are shameless. This nation does not replace lying and shamelessness with politics. This nation cannot tolerate those who pursue cheap politics, those who produce lies, and those who shamelessly try to appropriate these lies. After uttering this slander, 'Are you going to resign?' you asked. Let's ask here too. You made this slander and your lie was exposed. Instead of coming forward and apologizing, 'The victimization we caused is nothing compared to the general victimization.' you said. Will you resign?"
"If we are going to do politics, it's a challenge." "If you do not have a single word to say on this issue and instead only produce lies, slander based on rumors, and on top of that you have no regrets about it, we cannot find anything to say. This nation will pay your price at the ballot box." he said.
Emphasizing that honest and ethical politics is the primary duty and responsibility of all politicians in Türkiye, İleri said that their struggle is not only a struggle for development, progress, production and national security, but also a struggle to validate the new understanding of politics throughout Türkiye.
Regarding Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cemil Tugay's joining the AK Party, actress Berna Laçin said: "Izmir has been occupied before, do not be afraid." Recalling his post, İleri said, "What exactly do you mean when you say that Izmir was occupied before? To whom do you have the courage to compare the AK Party?" he said.
Emphasizing that the era of "politics of lies" and "front politics that are tried to be advanced through polarization" is over in Türkiye, İleri said, "Under the leadership of our President, we will continue to run towards the goals of the Turkey Century with a new understanding of politics, without marginalizing, polarizing, antagonizing, embracing, surrounding and hugging each other. Hopefully, we, as AK Party cadres, will make this country one of the strongest states in the world in every field." he said.
After his speech, AK Party Deputy Chairman İleri gave awards to the district organizations that brought the most members to his party in Ankara.
AK Party Ankara Provincial Chairman Hakan Han Özcan stated that the AK Party has been walking with the same belief and determination for a quarter of a century, and said that they are proud of the memory of these 25 years and that they are working harder with their responsibility.
Özcan said:
"Our love for our leader comes from the paths we walk together and the struggles we fight together. Our support for him comes from our belief in the great and powerful Türkiye. And we will show this love and loyalty with our efforts every day. Sharing the burden of our leader means working harder, reaching more hearts, running more for the problems of our nation. As the Ankara organization, we know our responsibility. We will stand tall in the service of our nation, as solid as Ankara Castle next to our leader."
Saying "Welcome" to the mayors and municipal council members who joined the AK Party family, Özcan said, "We will work shoulder to shoulder with you and follow the needs of our districts together. We will expand this step we have taken with services that touch the lives of our citizens. Our door is open to everyone who wants to serve the nation. There is room at our table. We have a lot of work to do together. Because our Ankara does not have a moment to waste." made his assessment.
Keçiören Mayor Mesut Özarslan, Gölbaşı Mayor Yakup Odabaşı, Haymana Mayor Levent Koç, Kahramankazan Mayor Selim Çırpanoğlu, who joined the AK Party, also made a speech at the meeting.
