Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office detained him on the allegation of 'influence trading' with artificial intelligence-edited photos on WhatsApp

According to information obtained from judicial sources, within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was determined that the suspect Mehmet Ç placed his own photographs using artificial intelligence next to the photographs of President Erdoğan and Minister Gürlek in the status section of the WhatsApp application.

The suspect, who was determined to have committed the crimes of "influence trading" and "publicly disseminating false information in order to create anxiety, fear or panic among the public" by creating the impression that he had relations with public officials and that he was respected by these people, was detained by Ankara Police Department teams at his address in Keçiören district.

Mehmet Ç, who was previously found to have 4 separate criminal records, was brought to Ankara Courthouse after his procedures at the police station.

The suspect, who was referred to the criminal judgeship of peace on duty after his statement to the prosecutor's office, was arrested.
