Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, stated that the Turkey Culture Road Festival brought significant dynamism to Ankara's cultural and artistic life and said, "Ankara, in addition to being the capital of our Republic, is one of our unique cities that carries thousands of years of history and cultural accumulation of Anatolia. ANKARA'S CULTURAL HERITAGE WILL MEET DIFFERENT DISCIPLINES OF ART
Ankara Culture Road Festival will bring the historical and cultural heritage of the capital to the center of the festival experience, together with the city's important museums, culture and art venues.
Ankara, with its Gordion Ancient City and cultural heritage sites included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, will be one of the important stops within the scope of the festival, making visible the multi-layered history of Anatolia. CSO Ada Ankara, Ankara Painting and Sculpture Museum, Anatolian Civilizations Museum, Ethnography Museum, Republic Museum, PTT Stamp Museum, MTA Şehit Cuma Dağ Natural History Museum, Türkiye İş Bankası Economic Independence Museum, Turkish Aeronautical Association Museum, 15 July Democracy Museum, Ankara Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, Adnan Ötüken Provincial Public Library and events to be held in different culture and art points of the city will enliven the cultural map of Ankara throughout the festival.
Within the scope of the festival, in addition to exhibitions featuring the works of artists from different disciplines, interviews, panels, museum visits and workshops will also be held.
TASTES OF THE CAPITAL WILL MEET AT MORE THAN 50 TASTE POINTS
One of the important topics of the Ankara Culture Road Festival will be gastronomy.
Ankara's local culinary culture will be offered to visitors through more than 50 Taste Points that will be created within the scope of the festival. In addition to local delicacies such as Ankara pan, Ankara bagel, Beypazarı casserole, Beypazarı dried meat, Çubuk pickles, İnceğiz soup, öllük curry, efelek wrap and bazlama, the city's prominent products such as Beypazarı carrot, Çubuk sour cherry and Ankara pear will be parts of the gastronomy route.
Different production and culinary traditions in the districts of Ankara, from Beypazarı's 80-layered baklava to Çubuk's traditional pickle making, from Kalecik's viticulture culture to Kızılcahamam's local products, will also be presented to visitors during the festival.
Chef Mehmet Yalçınkaya will host the gastronomy program of the festival. Chef Cüneyt Asan, academician chef Asuman Kerkez, Chef Doğa Çitçi, Chef Sezai Ömer Erdoğan, Chef Zeki Açıköz, Chef Kemal Can Yurttaş, Agriculture, Food and Food culture Researcher Kübra Yüzüncüyıl, food culture writer Aylin Öney Tan, chef Bedrettin Aydoğdu and chef Gökhan Aksoy will discuss different aspects of Ankara cuisine as guest chefs.
MUSIC FOR NINE DAYS IN THE CAPITAL NATIONAL GARDEN
On festival evenings, one of the meeting points of Ankara will be the Capital National Garden.
Gökhan Türkmen, Hakan Altun, Derya Uluğ, Poizi, Sefo, Serkan Kaya, Ceza, Ebru Yaşar and Özcan Deniz will meet with the people of Ankara in the concert program that will be held for nine days.
The concert program of the festival will not be limited to this. Many special concerts and recitals ranging from classical music to jazz, from traditional music to world music will be held in different culture and arts venues of the city, especially CSO Ada Ankara.
Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, National Arab Orchestra, Kerem Görsev Trio feat. Names and groups that bring together different musical approaches such as Engin Recepoğulları, Aytaç Doğan Quartet, Dolapdere Big Gang & Hüsnü Şentıcı will also take part in the festival program.
DIFFERENT DISCIPLINES OF THE STAGE WILL MEET IN ANKARA
In addition to the music program, Ankara Culture Road Festival will bring opera, ballet, dance, theater and musicals to the capital's audience.
While Caucasian Wind, Dance of Poetry and Melody and Inscription dance shows will be staged at CSO Ada Ankara, Don Giovanni opera and Tango Passion ballet will meet art lovers at the Opera Stage.
The Other Ankara musical will be performed at Akün Stage, and the Gangster musical will be performed at the Atatürk Art Center Red Hall.
Within the scope of the festival, documentary film screenings, fairy tale reenactments and special performances will also be held in different venues.
ALL FORM OF ART IS IN THE CAPITAL WITH EXHIBITIONS, TALKS AND WORKSHOPS
During the festival, many exhibitions will be opened to art lovers in different parts of Ankara.
Sacred Relics of the Ottoman Empire, Living Heritage: Ankara Exhibition, Ankara Illustrated, A Contemporary Selection from the Cultural Heritage of Two Countries: Minhwa & Miniature, Myths, Dreams, Fairy Tales, The Eternal Present of Brotherhood, Visual Anatomy of a War, Jerusalem, Stones and Birds: Sumud, Ah Beautiful Istanbul, The Journey of Money and many exhibitions on different themes will offer different art experiences to the festival visitors.
In the interview and panel programs, different topics will be discussed, from Ankara's cultural heritage to traditional arts, from fashion to cinema, from literature to mythology.
Participants will have the opportunity to experience different areas of cultural heritage in practice in the workshops to be held during the festival. Workshops such as felt, marbling, tile, ceramics, mosaic, wood carving, illumination, leather processing, silk needle lace, flame glass shaping and traditional toy design will host adult and child participants.
NINE DAYS OF EXPLORATION AND FUN FOR CHILDREN
At the Ankara Culture Road Festival, children will also be at the center of the festival with a special program.
Little visitors will experience a festival experience intertwined with culture and art with children's theatres, musicals, creative writing meetings, drama works, traditional performing arts, museum events and art workshops.
Elsa Children's Musical, Melody of the Dance, Clowns Circus Musical, Bremen Town Musicians, Nasreddin Hodja and Keloğlan Children's Tale, Where is Elsa? Detective Olaf In Search of Adventure and Karagöz's Ballad will be among the productions that children can watch.
Activities and Ethnosport activities to be held in the Children's Village to be established in the Capital National Garden will also be waiting for children throughout the festival.
FESTIVAL ATMOSPHERE IN EVERY CORNER OF ANKARA
Ankara Culture Road Festival will accompany the daily life of the capital with events to be held not only in halls and museums, but also in different points of the city.
Events to be held in Hamamönü, Hamamarkası and Ulucanlar art streets; FotoMaraton Ankara, guided museum tours, Gordion III. Programs such as the International Arkeofilm Festival, African Food Culture and African Coffee Workshop will take the festival experience to different parts of the city.
Gordion III. With the International Archaeofilm Festival, the historical and archaeological heritage of Gordion, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, will be revisited through cinema and documentary narratives.
While visitors will experience parachute diving in a virtual environment with the VR Glasses Simulator to be held at the Turkish Aeronautical Association Museum, live performances to be held in different venues will also contribute to the energy of the festival spreading to the streets.
Ankara Culture Road Festival will bring together culture, art and gastronomy in different parts of the capital for nine days between 19-27 September.
