27 thousand 957 personnel were assigned to COP31 in Antalya

At the press conference where he announced the public order data for October, Şahin said that preparations for COP31 were completed.

Stating that the organization is one of the largest international events to be hosted by Türkiye, Şahin stated that 27 thousand 957 personnel from the police, gendarmerie and coast guard units will be assigned within the scope of security measures.

Stating that the police teams will work with 5 aircraft, 7 sea vehicles, 26 armored vehicles and 12 TOMAs, as well as various land vehicles and motorcycles, Şahin stated that the gendarmerie and coast guard teams will also provide security with vehicles and personnel.

Stating that personnel from AFAD, health and municipality teams will also take part during the organization, Şahin stated that the preparations have been completed and the guests have started to arrive in Antalya.

Stating that the first head of state was welcomed, Şahin said, "Other heads of state will begin to arrive as of this weekend. Hopefully, we will organize a successful program and organization worthy of Antalya and Türkiye." he said.

There were 10 thousand 781 public order incidents in October

Şahin reported that 10 thousand 781 public order incidents occurred in Antalya in October, and 99.5 percent of them were clarified.

Stating that 4 thousand 838 wanted people were caught during the studies and 691 of them were arrested, Şahin stated that 2 thousand 979 applications were made.

Stating that 1183 operations were carried out within the scope of the fight against drugs, Şahin stated that action was taken against 1303 suspects and 158 people were arrested.

Şahin reported that marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine, as well as many synthetic pharmaceuticals and narcotic pills, were seized during the operations.

18 operations against immigrant smuggling

Şahin stated that 18 operations were carried out against immigrant smuggling, action was taken against 33 organizers and 7 suspects were arrested.

Stating that the legal stay status of 9 thousand 491 foreign nationals in the city was checked, Şahin said that the number of foreign nationals living with residence and work permits in Antalya was 145 thousand 506.

Governor Şahin noted that the coast guard teams checked 589 marine vessels and took 91 legal actions in October.
