Trump discussed the need to regulate AI with the head of Anthropic

US President Donald Trump took part in a discussion on the need to limit the pace of development of artificial intelligence, launched by Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei. “The only way AI needs to be in control or to “fence” is a STRONG AND SMART (high IQ!) PRESIDENT, and the US has that in spades!” — the American leader wrote in Truth social.

Trump clarified that his administration has enormous regulatory power in this area, thanks to which it has been able to keep “everyone” from doing bad things, including Amodei, who, according to the head of the United States, “is now pretending to be a ‘perfect little angel’.”

Trump also warned that there is a “crazy conspiracy” against AI and data centers, which, from his point of view, only China is happy about, emphasizing that they are ahead of competitors in this area and will continue to do so.

Apart from the mention of Amodei, with whose company Trump has not gotten along since the beginning of the Iranian conflict, when the parties did not find a common language on the issue of the safety of using artificial intelligence tools, the American president generally repeated his previously voiced theses about the leadership of the United States in AI issues, where the country is superior to the PRC, as well as the absence of fears that the development of technology may pose a threat to the existence of humanity.
