Arif Ahmet Denizolgun's grave was opened for the conquest of the grave

The conquest of the grave took place today.

Before the start of the procedures, precautions were taken with iron barriers at Karacaahmet Cemetery for security purposes. It was seen that the police forces took security measures around the cemetery.

When the prosecutor and crime scene investigators arrived at the cemetery, the grave conquest was carried out. The teams took DNA samples from the grave. The samples in question were taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute.

Thus, whether his death, which is a matter of debate, occurred due to natural causes or whether there was any external intervention, will be re-investigated in the light of scientific and forensic findings.

Arif Ahmet Denizolgun's nephews filed a criminal complaint regarding his death.

Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office was conducting two separate investigations into Denizolgun's death. The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office requested that Denizolgun's grave be opened and a judicial examination be carried out.

Upon request, the decision to conquer the grave was made.

The new process, which started after the allegations regarding Denizolgun's death, is closely followed by the Unsolved Crimes Investigation Department of the Ministry of Justice, which coordinates with the chief prosecutor's offices in the re-examination of unsolved and suspicious death files.
