Arujá records an increase in admissions in the first semester and maintains positive performance in job creation

Between January and June this year, companies located in the city carried out 8,992 admissions, 508 more than the 8,484 registered in the first six months of last year.

The result keeps Arujá among the municipalities in Alto Tietê with positive performance in job creation and points to a scenario of expansion of the formal job market in the city.

According to the Secretariat of Economic Development, among the actions is the Arujá Emprega program, which brings together and provides job vacancies and works to bring companies and workers closer together.

"The growth is related both to the increase in hiring and to initiatives aimed at employability and strengthening entrepreneurship in the municipality", explains the Deputy Secretary of Economic Development, Flavia Sanches.

The positive performance was followed by different sectors of the economy. Services, Commerce and Industry concentrated the largest volumes of new vacancies, Civil Construction and Agriculture also contributed to the balance of formal vacancies.

"This result also reflects the strength of the companies that are arriving and those that are already installed in Arujá and continue to expand their activities. This movement strengthens the local economy and opens up new job and income opportunities for residents", highlighted the Secretariat of Economic Development.

Before the end of the first semester, Arujá was already showing positive results. According to data from Fundação Seade, based on information from Caged, the municipality registered 396 new vacancies with a formal contract in February, placing it among the 50 cities that generated the most jobs in the state of São Paulo. In January and February, there were 651 new jobs.
