Haliloğlu, who said that he and his ex-wife Sezen Taş, who died suspiciously after falling from the 14th floor on Thursday, October 8, divorced 11 months ago, stated that he would initiate legal proceedings against those who made false allegations against him.

Haliloğlu said, "For the sake of exonerating myself, I will not say a single word that would hurt the memory of my children's mother."

"I am experiencing the indescribable pain and shock of losing my ex-wife, Sezen, with whom I shared 12 years and the mother of my two children. For days, I have only been hugging them and maintaining my silence so that my children, who are my most valuable assets in life, can overcome this great trauma with the least damage. However, the unfounded allegations that do not reflect the truth and the unscrupulous lynching campaign on social media and in the press have made it impossible for me to remain silent. ​

First of all, I would like you to know that; Our marriage with Sezen ended 11 months ago, officially and legally, by mutual consent. Reports such as 'they were in the process of divorce' or 'they were in a fight' are completely unfounded. "Before the day of the incident, at Sezen's own request, with the knowledge and guidance of the pedagogues, my children came to Trabzon with me, as a result of mutual discussion, with Sezen's approval and request."

"I WILL START A LEGAL PROCESS"

Haliloğlu continued his words as follows:

"The terrible allegations that 'he kidnapped his children' are slanders that go beyond the limits of reason and conscience. My only goal has always been and will continue to be the safety and psychological health of my children. Sezen's difficulties, her internal struggles and the process leading to her death are matters that only we and the relevant experts know, and will forever remain private out of respect for the memory of my children's mothers.

In order to justify myself, I will not say a single word that would hurt the memory of my children's mother. My only priority right now is to ensure that my daughter and son, who lost their mother in a very tragic way, get through this process as healthily as possible with the help of pedagogues. I request that these unfair attacks, which we are subjected to without being able to experience our pain, end, and that the privacy of my children, Sezen's memory and the pain of her grieving family be respected. "I would like to inform the public that necessary legal proceedings will be initiated against those who spread false claims."
