Candidate for President of the Republic, Augusto Cury (Avante) held a press conference on Sunday night (4) to comment on the result of the 1st round of the 2026 elections.

Cury followed the investigation with his family in Ribeirão Preto (SP). He was accompanied by his running mate, Júlio Delgado (Podemos).

With 91.28% of the ballots counted, at around 8:30 pm, Cury had 2.93%, reaching 3,177,653 of the votes, according to the Superior Electoral Court (TSE).

The candidate voted this Sunday morning in Colina (SP), in the Barretos region (SP). After registering his choices at the ballot box, Cury criticized the current polarization.

"Lula da Silva, he says he is the father of the poor, but he governs for the rich, because the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. And, at the same time, Flávio Bolsonaro, who never planted a vegetable garden, never put his money as venture capital in a worthy company, also wants to lead the country."
