A fire alarm was reported in an ancient house in Kinmen. The brothers who started the fire quickly broke in and put it out.

A fire alarm broke out today in an ancient Fujian-style house in Chenggong Village, Kinmen County. Thick smoke billowed out from the windows and corners of the house, scaring the people away. Firefighters broke down the door and rescued the house, and found that the fire was spreading from the kitchen to the wing. Fortunately, they were able to put out the fire properly and the fire was quickly controlled. No one was injured. The cause of the fire has yet to be identified by the fire department.

The Kinmen County Fire Department stated that it received a report at around 7 a.m. that a house fire broke out in Jinhu Town. Upon receiving the report, the Fire Department immediately dispatched the Jinhu and Jinsha detachments, 6 firefighting vehicles of various types, and 14 firefighters to the rescue. Yang Zhongdian, Chen Xiangxin, and Chen Junyu from the Yiwu Fire Department also rushed to support.

Li Zhongren, deputy captain of the fire site commander, said that when the rescue team arrived at the scene, the fire was spreading from the kitchen to the wing. They immediately instructed the rescue personnel to deploy water lines and break down the door to rescue. Fortunately, with the team's cooperation, the fire was under control in just a few minutes. The remaining fire was then cooled down and the thermal imaging camera (TIC) was used to confirm that there was no risk of re-ignition or spread of the fire, and the fire-fighting mission was successfully completed.

Dong Jiwei said that when people use gas stoves and various electrical appliances, they must implement the principle of "when people are away from the fire, the fire is extinguished". After using the fire, they should check whether there is any fire left behind. If a fire occurs, report it immediately to gain golden time for rescue.
