The head of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, Ella Pamfilova, proposed to honor the memory of the deceased members of election commissions

“We remember each of the departed organizers. Colleagues, I ask you to honor their memory with a minute of silence,” said Central Election Commission Chairman Ella Pamfilova during a commission meeting on the results of the elections of deputies to the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

She said that PEC member Olga Demyanenko died from a drone attack in the Kherson region, PEC chairwoman Elena Astanina died in the Zaporozhye region, and PEC chairwoman Natalya Sinitsyna died in the LPR due to a deliberate attack on a car. In the Belgorod region, secretary Elena Kaltykova, as well as PEC members Elena Fomenko and Sergei Smorodinov, died due to attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
