Alga footballer Lobov underwent surgery after being stabbed in Bishkek

MOSCOW, October 1 - RIA Novosti. Footballer of the Kyrgyz club "Alga" Alexey Lobov underwent two operations after being attacked with a knife in Bishkek, according to the Telegram channel of the company representing the player's interests, "Aletheia Alliance".

According to the company, the attack occurred on the night of August 13-14. An unknown person stabbed the football player and fled. Lobov was urgently hospitalized with a penetrating wound to the abdominal cavity, damage to the stomach and greater omentum, internal bleeding and hemorrhagic shock. The footballer underwent emergency surgery, but complications required a second surgery. Lobov is undergoing treatment and rehabilitation.

Lawyers claim that the club has launched an internal investigation into Lobov and is trying to terminate his employment relationship, although the contract is valid until November 30, 2027. According to them, the football player independently paid about $4,000 in medical expenses, was removed from the team chat, and his photo was removed from the team’s roster stand. It is emphasized that the team intends to pay him his salary only until August 14.

The company also announced threats from the director of Alga, a member of the executive committee of the Kyrgyz Football Union, Emil Kutmanov, related to criminal prosecution, cancellation of visas, sending football players to SVO and ending their careers. Lawyers published an audio recording of a conversation attributed to Kutmanov, handed it over to the International Federation of Professional Football Players' Associations (FIFPRO) and reported the possibility of seeking a lifelong ban on the leader from football activities.

On Thursday, Aletheia Alliance announced the start of negotiations with Kutmanov, expressing hope for a peaceful resolution of the conflict. The company later stated that the investigator notified it that a criminal case had been opened regarding the attack on Lobov.
