Two female students from Guangming Junior High School won the technical and vocational competition

The results of the Junior High School Technical Education Competition held by the Taoyuan City Education Bureau for the 114th school year were recently announced. Taoyuan City Guangming Junior High School performed well in the highly competitive "Catering and Tourism Vocational Group". Grade 9 students Cai Yifang and Wu Xinyue won the first place in the city in the "Chinese Food Group" and "Baking Group" respectively, and both won the championship.

Cai Yifang, who won the first place in the Chinese food group, said that since she was selected as a contestant, her life has almost revolved around practicing and memorizing the question bank. In order to complete the delicious fried rice, she repeatedly practiced knife skills, heat and plating. She experienced many setbacks in the process and once doubted whether she could withstand the pressure of the competition. However, with the encouragement of her parents and teachers, she persisted to the end.

Wu Xinyue, who won the first place in the baking group, surprised the judges with a score of 98 points in the technical subject. She admitted that when she saw the works of other contestants after the game, she originally thought she had no chance of winning, but she didn't expect that she would take the top spot when the final results were released. From knowing almost nothing when I first started baking, to being able to master the ratio of ingredients and production details later on, I relied on continuous practice to accumulate experience.

Fan Jinghua, the principal of Guangming Junior High School, said that the two students were able to win the first place in the city in the catering and hospitality group at the same time. In addition to the students themselves showing a high degree of self-discipline and perseverance, they also relied on the full guidance of the teachers in the school's technical class and the Yongping Industrial and Commercial Team of the partner school. From basic techniques to competition practice, teachers repeatedly demonstrated and patiently accompanied students to help students steadily improve their strength.

Fan Jinghua mentioned that this honor proves that as long as they are given appropriate resources and a stage, junior high school students can also show amazing craftsmanship. These two 9th grade girls will continue to shine in the catering industry with this honor and confidence in the future, becoming the best example of "appropriate talent promotion" in Taoyuan City's technical and vocational education.
