Take multiple measures to promote high-quality development of historical and classic industries

CCTV News (News Network): The State Council Information Office held a press conference on the morning of September 7. Relevant officials from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the State Administration for Market Regulation stated that multiple measures will be taken to promote the high-quality development of historical and classic industries.

Historical classic industries refer to traditional Chinese characteristic industries with profound cultural heritage such as silk, tea, porcelain, traditional Chinese medicine, and the Four Treasures of the Study.

At present, there are 25,000 enterprises above designated size in representative industries of my country's historical classic industries, employing nearly 3.5 million people, and the industry's annual operating income is about 8 trillion yuan. At the same time, various localities promote the development of historical classic industries by strengthening the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage. As of the end of last year, there were 14,900 intangible cultural heritage workshops across the country.

At the press conference, the relevant person in charge introduced that the newly issued "Opinions on Promoting the High-Quality Development of Historical Classic Industries" requires all localities to speed up the preparation of industrial distribution maps, optimize industrial planning and layout, etc. By 2028, cultivate 50 leading enterprises with a scale of tens of billions, create 100 famous Chinese consumer products, and create several characteristic industrial clusters with a scale of hundreds of billions; by 2030, cultivate a number of world-class enterprises and well-known brands, and promote historical classic industries to move towards the middle and high end of the global value chain.

At the same time, my country will accelerate the promotion of artificial intelligence to empower historical classic industries, support advantageous production areas to take the lead in building "industrial brains", carry out systematic collection, standardized annotation, and standardized sorting, turn craftsmanship passed down from generation to generation into reusable and shareable data assets, and realize the deep integration of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology.
