Vice Minister of Commerce Yan Dong said that all preparatory work is basically in place. 162 countries, regions and international organizations will participate, and 4,142 overseas companies will participate in this CIIE. The overall area will exceed 440,000 square meters for the first time.
The National Exhibition of this CIIE attracted 69 countries and international organizations to participate in the exhibition, and the number of entities exceeded last year. Canada and Sri Lanka were the guest countries, and five countries including Moldova, Romania and the United Nations Development Program participated in the exhibition for the first time.
Among the national exhibitions, the China Pavilion is the most eye-catching. With the theme of "Creating a New Situation and Win-win New Future", the China Pavilion closely follows the new blueprint of the "15th Five-Year Plan" and presents a future perspective, global vision and open mind.
The scale of the corporate exhibition reached a new high, with the area exceeding 370,000 square meters for the first time. Companies from the United States, Germany, Britain, France and other countries lead the exhibition area. Among them, American companies have an exhibition area of more than 50,000 square meters, ranking first for eight consecutive years, an increase of 1,500 square meters compared with last year.
Xiao Lu, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the China International Import Expo Bureau, said that the Asia-Africa product area at this CIIE will be further upgraded, and the exhibition area for African companies will also grow steadily. The free booth area provided for the least developed countries has increased by 17%.
The Hongqiao Forum held at the same time this year will release the "Export China Capability Development Report" for the first time and will continue to release the "World Openness Report". "The two reports, one based on the world and focusing on common opening, and the other focusing on China and focusing on win-win cooperation, not only contribute wisdom to global open cooperation, but also provide support for all parties to share the Chinese market." This year's CIIE Enterprise Exhibition will continue the "6+1" pattern and continue to set up six major exhibition areas and innovation incubation areas including technical equipment, consumer goods, agricultural and food products, automobiles and smart travel, medical equipment and medicine and health care, and service trade.
Yan Dong introduced that for the first time, the number of Fortune 500 companies and industry leading companies exceeded 300, and nearly 200 companies and institutions participated in the ninth CIIE with "full attendance"; more than 2,000 "new face" companies participated in the exhibition for the first time.
More specialized themes - further strengthening the display layout of the entire industry chain. In terms of curation, we "start from point to point, cover areas, and expand links", focusing on the cutting-edge track to make precise efforts. For example, the technical equipment exhibition area completely covers the upstream and downstream enterprises of the entire industry chain such as semiconductor materials, equipment, design, and finished products, and focuses on displaying technological achievements in the fields of new generation mobile communications, artificial intelligence, etc.

A "6-day + 365-day" year-round exhibition and sales mechanism has been established to gather more than 120 countries, more than 6,000 brands, and 85,000 CIIE products at the Hongqiao Product Collection; it has pioneered measures to facilitate the inspection of first-release imported consumer goods, shortening the customs clearance time from a minimum of 7 days to the fastest release on the same day... Lu Shan, deputy mayor of Shanghai, said that Shanghai will take the CIIE as an opportunity to be the "first place" for global new products.
