In the statement he shared on his social account, Minister Işıkhan stated that the new Medium Term Program (MTP), which includes Türkiye's development goals for the next three years, the steps to be taken in the field of economy, policies and reforms, was published in the Official Gazette.
Emphasizing that they have recently achieved important successes with the impact of the previous period's MTP, National Employment Strategy and policies to improve working life, Işıkhan continued as follows:
"In line with the MTP covering the years 2027-2029, we will continue to take the necessary steps by identifying the needs of our workforce, increase our employment and fight against unemployment. In every program we implement, we carry out our activities in the light of the developments in our country and globally. During the MTP preparations, the suggestions and opinions of our Ministries, institutions and relevant organizations were shaped around a common work. With our economic program that we implement in effective coordination, we will continue our determination in the fight against inflation, ensure price stability, and achieve the success we have achieved in employment and growth rates." "In the coming period, we will strengthen the labor market in line with the changes in digital and new generation technologies, new generation working models and the needs of the sectors. We will continue our work to further improve the sustainability of the social security system. We will continue our fight against unregistered employment and support the actuarial balance of our social security system."

Işıkhan stated that in addition to combating unemployment and increasing employment, they will also increase applications for potential workforce, and said:
"We will support the transition to permanent employment by organizing active workforce programs to provide reskilling. In this process, we estimate that the unemployment rate, which has been positive in line with MTP expectations with 2.1 million additional jobs, will continue to decline and reach 8 percent in 2027, 7.8 percent in 2028, and 7.6 percent in 2029. As a matter of fact, the historical levels we have achieved in the unemployment rate recently reveal the positive results of our employment policies. In order to increase our success in this field, we expect our women, young and disabled citizens to "We will take steps that make it easier for them to participate in the workforce. By strengthening the education-employment connection, we will put forward holistic policies such as the Youth Production Age (POWER) to prepare young people for working life and participate in the workforce and production.
