According to the written statement made by the Ministry, Uraloğlu attended the 8th Ordinary General Assembly meeting of Bayındır Memur-Sen.
In his speech here, Uraloğlu stated that employees are the most important force that affects production, increases quality and increases the welfare of the nation.
Stating that he started his working life as an engineer at the Erzurum 12th Regional Directorate of Highways in 1989, Uraloğlu stated that he was promoted from chief engineer to the General Directorate of Highways, and from there he became a minister at the discretion of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Uraloğlu noted that the purpose of unions is to meet employees' personal rights and future expectations.
Stating that Memur-Sen also did this and expressed not only the expectations of its members but also the troubles of the nation, Uraloğlu said, "Under the leadership of our President, we, as the AK Party governments, strive to protect the rights and laws of our employees through social dialogue." he said.
Uraloğlu pointed out Memur-Sen's stance especially on Palestine and stated that Türkiye has reached many people in oppressed geographies.
"We renewed the existing railways from scratch"
Giving information about the projects implemented in the field of transportation and infrastructure since 2002, Uraloğlu stated that they have invested 355 billion dollars in these areas in the last 24 years.
Uraloğlu stated that they increased the length of divided roads from 6 thousand 101 kilometers to over 30 thousand kilometers, and while only 6 provinces were connected to each other by divided roads, today this number reached 77.
Pointing out that 85 percent of the current traffic takes place on these divided roads, Uraloğlu stated that they have increased the length of the highway to nearly 4 thousand kilometers.
Uraloğlu noted that they increased the railways from 11 thousand kilometers to 14 thousand kilometers, of which 2 thousand 251 kilometers consisted of high-speed railways.
Stating that they renovated the existing railways almost from scratch and made them electrified and signaled, Uraloğlu informed that Türkiye is the 6th high-speed railway operating country in Europe and the 8th in the world.
Uraloğlu also stated that they are continuing work on many lines such as Ankara-İzmir, Mersin-Adana-Osmaniye-Gaziantep, Bursa-Bandırma, Ankara-Çorum, Yerköy-Kayseri, and said, "We will increase the number of provinces we go to by high-speed train, which is 11 today, to 27 in 2028. In 2053, we will be able to travel the whole of Türkiye with high-speed train networks in 48 hours." he said.
"We will have spread 5G to the whole country within two years"
Reminding that Türkiye can reach 67 countries with a 4-hour flight distance, Uraloğlu stated that the number of airports reached 58, which was 26 in 2002, and that these airports served 247 million people last year.
Uraloğlu stated that Türkiye has currently increased its international flight network to 356 destinations in 133 countries, and that the country has a say in this field both in Europe and the world.
Reminding that 5G has been implemented in the field of communication, Uraloğlu pointed out that 44.5 million people are 5G subscribers as of today and that they will spread 5G to the whole country within two years.
