Minicar gang in Rome: what the two reported minors risk

The two minors aged 16 and 17 accused of having carried out six attacks in Rome, between Monteverde and Testaccio, on the night between 4 and 5 October, aboard a minicar, confessed. "We had so much fun that night", declared the two minors, interviewed during the night in the barracks by the public prosecutor of the Rome Prosecutor's Office. Among the victims of the attacks there is also the actor Davide Iacopini, still hospitalized in intensive care at the San Camillo hospital. The file now comes to the attention of the Prosecutor's Office at the juvenile court, who could request the application of precautionary measures. At the moment, both are reported at large. But what do they risk?

What are the two minors at risk?

If the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office were to request and obtain the application of precautionary measures, the two boys could be subjected to obligations related to study, work or other educational activities. Other possibilities include staying at home (a measure similar to house arrest), placement in a community or precautionary custody in a penal institution for minors. As regards the accusations, the two minors are currently under investigation for attempted murder in relation to the attack on the actor Iacopini and for injuries in other episodes.
