New development in Batman-based 'illegal betting' investigation: 25 people arrested

Provincial Police Department Anti-Cyber ​​Crimes Branch Directorate teams followed the suspects within the scope of their work on illegal betting activities.

In the investigation carried out by cyber crime experts, it was determined that there was money movement in the amount of 3 billion 950 million lira in the bank accounts of 26 account users and 36 suspects, 10 of whom were senior managers, as a result of MASAK reports.

It was determined that the money transfers were made for the purpose of mediating the transfer and laundering of money deposited to illegal betting sites.

SIMULTANEOUS OPERATIONS IN 10 PROVINCES

Under the coordination of the Batman Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, following a technical follow-up study, a simultaneous operation was carried out on November 4, with the participation of 100 teams and 400 personnel, at the addresses determined in Istanbul, Bursa, Yozgat, Malatya, Hatay, Diyarbakır, Bitlis, Van and Hakkari, centered in Batman.

33 suspects were detained during the operation.
