This presentation was led by the Red Mark Propaganda Team of the Shenyang “September 18th” History Museum. It relied on the important historical nodes of the 95th anniversary of the September 18th Incident and the 70th anniversary of the trial of Japanese war criminals in New China. It comprehensively used historical materials, video materials, scene narratives and on-site interactions to bring an immersive red classroom to people of all ethnic groups.
During the lecture, the keynote speaker Wang Haohan used detailed historical materials to systematically explain the historical significance of the 14-year War of Resistance as the prelude to the World Anti-Fascist War, and interpreted the rich connotations of the great spirit of the War of Resistance. The preachers started from the Northeast Anti-Japanese Volunteer Army, talked about the people of all ethnic groups fighting side by side in the Northeast Anti-Japanese Alliance, and vividly recounted the heroic deeds of Gao Pengzhen's formation of the anti-Japanese team, the bravery of the Iron-Blooded Youth Battalion to fight the enemy, and the heroic deeds of revolutionary martyrs such as Yang Jingyu and Zhao Yiman who sacrificed their lives to serve the country.
The entire speech closely adhered to the main line of forging the consciousness of the Chinese nation's community, clarifying that the history of the Anti-Japanese War is the collective memory of people of all ethnic groups, and the great Anti-Japanese War spirit is the spiritual wealth shared by the entire nation, interpreting the firm belief that "the land cannot be divided, the country cannot be chaotic, the nation cannot be dispersed, and the civilization cannot be broken."
"After listening to the lecture today, I couldn't calm down for a long time." Xuan Fengyuan, deputy secretary of Guangfuli Community in Heping District, was deeply moved after watching. "Back then, compatriots of all ethnic groups, regardless of you and me, joined hands to resist foreign aggression and defended the country with their flesh and blood. This is the most vivid testimony of national unity. Our ethnic groups are one family. I will also tell this red history to my children and pass on the anti-Union spirit from generation to generation."
"In the first of this series of lectures, we specially organized community representatives and representatives of ethnic minority associations to participate, hoping to guide grassroots cadres and the masses to build a solid sense of the Chinese nation's community in looking back on history." Fu Cong, a third-level researcher of the Shenyang Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau, said that subsequent lectures will rely on the propaganda resources of the Shenyang "September 18th" History Museum to continue to cover more grassroots points across the province.
