Miroshnik announced Ukraine’s selective approach to the exchange of prisoners of war

BEIJING, September 8 – RIA Novosti. Ukraine treats the exchange of prisoners as if it were trade at Privoz; they are not interested in the rank and file at all, Ambassador at Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Rodion Miroshnik told reporters on Tuesday.

“As for the military, this is an extremely important path, but we are faced with regular manipulations, because the Ukrainian side, for example, treats the exchange of prisoners as if it were trade at Privoz, that is, when they say, we want these, but we don’t want these, please, turn it up for us at a higher price, and we are not interested in the rank and file at all,” Miroshnik said.

According to him, the Russian Federation has lists of hundreds of Ukrainian prisoners of war, who, in principle, are not interested in the Ukrainian side and have been kept in Russia for years.
