White House announces oil deal between Venezuela and USA

The White House made a statement about the oil agreement signed between Washington and Caracas regarding the control of more than 65 billion barrels of oil reserves in Venezuela.

The statement stated that the agreement was signed to "secure the energy superiority of the United States and support Venezuela's economic recovery."

It was stated that the agreement provides the United States with strong management powers and economic share in the new Venezuelan company, which is expected to be the world's second largest private oil company in terms of reserve size, as well as the right to purchase oil at a low cost.

It was stated in the statement that the agreement was signed by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and that Washington had obtained a 100-year concession for 17 oil fields with proven reserves of more than 65 billion barrels.

In the statement, it was emphasized that millions of barrels of crude oil in Venezuela will be processed in refineries in the USA and that American drilling equipment and infrastructure will be used in production.

In the statement, it was stated that billions of dollars of investment and thousands of jobs will be supported in the USA, and the agreement in question was described as "an important part of the stability, reconstruction and democratic transition plan" of the US President Donald Trump administration for Venezuela.
