Selon la préfecture de police, le mouvement est «pendulaire et tournant». Ainsi, sur l'agglomération parisienne, la contestation a débuté en petite couronne, dans le Val-de-Marne, avant de s'étendre à la Seine-Saint-Denis, aux Hauts-de-Seine et enfin à Paris en marge, mardi, de la journée de mobilisation pour les salaires dans la fonction publique.

Ce ne sont pas les mêmes établissements qui sont bloqués chaque jour, explique encore la PP. «D'une contestation sociale, on est arrivé à des actions dont les auteurs utilisent des modes d'action de violences urbaines (tirs de mortiers tendus sur les forces de l'ordre et sur les personnels de l'éducation nationale, dégradations au moyen d'engins incendiaires, barricades...)», estime encore la préfecture de police.
